I installed the new Satori 4 firmware on my WRT54GS linksys router. I enabled the PPTP VPN Server.
Here are the settigs on the router:
PPTP Server: Enable
Server IP: 192.168.0.1
Client IP(s): 192.168.0.101-110
CHAP-Secrets: <blank>

The question is, how do I configure my XP box to connect to it. About the only settings I know of are to choose PPTP as the protocol and the IP address of my router. I guess the simplest way to explain is that after I use the new connection wizard in XP to create a new VNC connection, what other options do I need to change to make it work?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The default settings for a VPN connections work fine for me. The one thing you may want to check depending on how you plan to use the vpn is the use default gateway on remote network. That will either enable or disable split routing (ie all traffic through vpn or just the traffic that is destined for that network).

However the bigger problem is your CHAP secrets. You need to have something there in the format of
username * password *
You must have a space between the '*'.

Hey crazy_vag
You mind shootin me an e-mail if you get this running smoothly?
Let me know how you did it?
I haven't had time to toy with my Satori recently and would love to get the VPN up and running

thanks
