I've tried playing games using VPN tunneling and it works great the only problem is that i want to play with more than just one person. From what i researched Windows XP pro only also 1 client to connect to your VPN server.

What are my software options???

you would have to have a VPN server, that would handle multiple connections. You connect to VPN, as to friends B and C. Friend D is who has the VPN hardware, so you all become "Local" clients to his network.

Just curious what games you are playing as most VPNs won't forward broadcast packets. I use mono wall for my router. It'll also run as a VPN server. Works great for IPsec or PPTP. It'll support Open VPN, but it's a bit difficult.

You could also try something like this.

Any game that you can specify an IP address will work over a PPTP or IPSec VPN. Most will even work over the internet if you portfoward anything else. If you need UDP or broadcast packets you'll need something like GIT linked in my post above.

Sure will, but it's a pain to set up.

Hi,
I've been wanting to play starcraft with a bunch of friends... can I use VPN to host a virtual LAN for this purpose?
^^^ guides would be appreciated.
