Anyone know of a VPN server that will run under WinXP Pro? I need to setup a VPN server for the boss, but don't want to install Win2k Server just for this feature.... Any ideas?

Thanks

Doesn't exchange server do this just fine? If your on the cheap, look at linux, but I'm not familier with VPN availability on Linux.

Nope, not on the cheap... on the easy! I don't have time to reinstall a whole workstation, just to get VPN working. Just wondered if there was a third party server available taht I could install on a workstation on the network that I could use for VPN?

If you want remote access, how about using Remote Assistance? Turn it on in the system control panel and use the Win2K terminal server client. Not true VPN, but for most people it is more effective.

I'm going to be setting up a demo computer that can dial into the VPN server and access the interoffice network PLUS use the offices internet connection. That is the trick, the computer must be able to access the server with only the need for a dialup modem.

Therefore, I want to be able to use a computer and dial into our office network, to access files and use the office's internet connection through the VPN. This is where I run into problems, I can't take this workstation down for a day while I reinstall everything, it's just not possible.

THis sucks!
