I could access my work email on my iPhone by connecting via PPTP VPN in the Settings area. It would then see my IMAP email server that way.

I looked through the settings on my Nexus One, but didn't see how to do the same. Do I need to download a separate VPN app? Is there one that is recommended over the others?

Work e-mail? Exchange?

Active Sync support is built into the e-mail client.

Stock roms don't always have that capability.

I use Cyanogenmod on my DINC, and can connect with PPTP just fine.

The person I bought my N1 from has the Cyanogenmod (6.0 I believe). Where is it?

[Edit] Doh! Found it now. Thanks.
