VPN for internet?

Is it possible to create a VPN on my computer (directly connected to a cable modem) that my roommate could connect to with his wireless, then use the internet through my VPN?

I'm not sure I understand the question entirely, and you may have the wrong idea of what VPN is used for.. I'm assuming you dont have a router and want to share your internet connection between you and your roomie. If you had a 2nd NIC on your comp you could configure ICS to share the connection (essentially turning your computer into a router). Not sure how it would work with wireless, unless you had an AP or a wireless card in your pc to maybe run in ad-hoc mode or something.
