Question VPN and port forwarding

I've recently found a long list of ports being forwarded on my computer. Believe someone has been trying to monitor my activity. Been running a VPN for months now. Would port forwarding circumvent any software VPN's that I've been running? Should I be concerned that someone has all my passwords and login information?

Thanks,

NN

port forwarding allows a PC from outside to access your PC.
I would find out who setup those ports, possibly someone in your family for gaming, FTP, File Sharing, anything where another PC needs to connect to your PC.

If no one in your family has a clue what port forwarding is, then yes id be very nervous on how it was changed, as potentially it can open up even Remote Desktop on your PC from an outside source.

How did you discover these port forwards? Where did you find them? Are they in your router?

Keep in mind that upnp is a huge security issue that can open ports and whatnot if used as an exploit. It is almost always recommended to leave upnp off unless you need it for a specific use.
