sup everyone,
so i'm going to be going to a C2D once DFI puts out is 680i mobos. i am also planning to do some heavy OCing on my C2D. i just wanted to know from all you 1337 intel OCers what the best ram is for doing so. i know corsair makes some bad a$$ ram but i just recently started hearing about this "team" ram. what you all think??? any input would be greatly appreciated as i have never owned an intel and am not very familiar with them.

thanks in advance!!!

TeamGroup RAM is good, although the prices are inflated currently. Talking about price, if money isn't an object, the best OC'ing RAM title should probably go to Corsair Dominator DDR2-8888. ($650) I think OCZ is preparing DDR2-9000 but it isn't out yet.

Well, I am very happy with my gskil PC8000 running @500 1:1, 2000 fsb. $180 for 1 gig

Or for a bit more:
Team Xtreem 2x 1 GB DDR2-800 3-3-3 $433.68 USD

Obviously, the Corsair Dominator stuff is higher binned stuff, but it's also a lot more.

Actually, I think that this is better than the first ram you listed. It's guaranteed micron d9.

The latencies are nice but how well does it overclock? I've never seen PC2-5300 RAM get much above PC-6400 speeds which is where the Team Xtreem RAM is designed to run.

Both kits i mentioned are D9.
The 3-3-3 kit is higher binned, that's all.

You haven't seen good RAM then.

The 667 kit will do around 1000+ 5-5-5, often better depending on luck.

Crucial Ballistix is about $260 at zipzoomfly now. That's Micron D9. Should get you to DDR2-1000+

Teamgroup is about where Crucial is as far as I know. Except Crucial does not offer any memory rated at 3-3-3.
