Numbered below are 8 of my fiance's older projects. Her final deal is she's supposed to pick of her better works from before she started learning art to see how far she's come now. Most of these are from 4-7 years ago (she was between 11 and 16 for most of this stuff) So she would like public voting on which ones they think are best (she can ask other artists but their opinions never quite match the perception of the general public). Select what you think are some of her best.

As for a reward..well there is none...I could run some torrents for you though on my torrent flux server if that helps :p. Anonymity, 100mbs connection, up to 400GB torrent sizes :D.

Thanks to all who vote!

You know the rules man, mention a gf and you have to post pictures of her first.

The 56k warning is not necessary. If someone still connects to the internet with a 56k modem, they deserve the pain of the wait...

This isn't a babe thread :p. Pics of her along with our whole story of 3.5 years of LDR and now being together engaged and living life is in L&R :^_^.

Agreed but some people don't have a choice. I sometimes still have to dial in over old rotary pots lines when neither cellular or land based internet options are available in the location i'm stopping at. Just a friendly warning to others who might be abroad/traveling/stuck in the boondocks.

Will not vote before pics of GF are posted.

See above.

I voted for #8. #s 5 and 8 are the only ones I'd consider art - the rest are look like entry-level doodles with photoshop and illustrator (or whatever tools she's using).

Not that there's anything wrong with them for what they are... I just don't think they're frame-worthy.

I picked 4 and 5, but I'll say that the crop job on the bottom hand in #4 was done pretty poorly, and the top one has a few bad edges, too.

Good reasoning

Like i said these are all her things from years ago. Made in Adobe CS2 and 3 with a mouse. She had no formal learning at the time (she was still in middle school for some of them), only what she could learn on the internet and do on her poor computer (PIII 650 and 192MB of RAM on Win XP). Her newer stuff is way way better as her skills have developed over the years and she's taken classes. She just has to pick out what she wants to display out of the old stuff, like i said "Where she's been, where she's at now, and where she's going". This is the where she's been part.

56k? It's like I'm on the Gamespot forums 6 years ago

Also, OP doesn't seem to realize that those pics are not even large - it might take a few seconds longer to load even on a slow ass internet connection (which is 512 kbps or maybe 1 mbps these days)

Seriously, 900x600 and 700x1000 = bandwidth warning in 2011? I guess the world really is ending tomorrow

My "56K" internet was at best 18.8kbs (2.5KB/s at best) and some of those thumbnails would still take me well over a minute to load. This is just 4 months ago lol.

Some places that visit this forum just don't have access to decent internet.

Was in SW GA, almost just as bad :p. Fowlstown unincorporated. Population somewhere in the low 200's spread over about 35 square miles. All forests and farms, infrastructure is pooor. Almost like Estonia :D

Thank you everyone for your votes!
