Complete with unbelivable excuses . . .

You know how there were all these reports about how the Sunni's were not showing up at the polls to vote ?

Seems like there weren't enough ballots for them to vote on.
They knew that there weren't enough bollots, so why bother to go ?

And the excuses began.

Who's word are you going to believe on this - George or Ali Ali Oxenfree ?

Or maybe the people who live in Iraq.

Oh what the hell do they know anyway, they don't have the luxury of listening to Rush, so they don't know what to think.

some bad stuff I have been hearing...monthly rations withheld until votes cast, sunnis no-show in huge numbers, no accountability, etc etc etc.
But then the MSM laps it up as usual kinda like the staged saddam statue tumble.

Didn't someone ask me the other day for proof that the Left wanted this election to fail?

Keep looking. This is a serious problem, reported by the AP, and has nothing to do with the "Left" or the "Right".

Give me a break. So willing to see the negative in everything.

No wonder you can't ever win. People hate losers with piss poor attitudes. All of these rumors amount to absolutely nothing - no matter the source. Hell, the AP ran with the 'doll' today as their 'killer' story, the Guardian is still printing tomorrow about the captured 'soldier'. Are these people even qualified to tell us what happens any more? The left has lost all sense of focus, and as such just looks STUPID.

Wait a tic, I am really happy that the election went off as well as it did. How the hell is mentioning problems like not enough ballots in Sunni areas "left" or "right," it's just plain wrong!

It's like telling someone from Ohio to piss off because their machines were broken. I hope these problems weren't too widespread, so that this election is seen as legitimate in the eyes of ALL Iraqis (that's what really matters).

Irwincur,

If this really did happen in huge numbers, I won't be happy. We won't be able to get out of Iraq as fast because the Sunni's will be mighty upset at this.
There are plenty of people who want to see this fail just because they hate bush, and they are quite sad. For you to tell people that they see "negative in everything" when negative things do exist is naive. Are we supposed to only broadcast the good news and ignore the bad?

it was only a matter of time before someone tried to make something out of it.
