I'm just curious what everyone would recommend for all out stability? I haven't had to good of luck with my ASUS A7V. It seems to crash for no reason.

IWILL KK266 all the way, and not just for its crazy stability. Jumperless overclocking is a breeze.

Tyan Thunder K7. This is a dual Athlon board. No, I don't have it, but it's apparently extremely stable and is designed for mission critical areas like servers. Of course, you'll only have to fork out a cool $574 for it.

Sorry to ruin the party, but this is the ultimate in stability.

I'll throw a vote out for the Asus A7V133 as since I got the other stuff working, this mobo has been rock steady.

Edit: Just curious as to why you think the crashes are related to your mobo?

I would have to put my vote for the Aopen AK73 PRO a

I did have problems with win2k crashing, but that turned out to be a funky IDE cable

all my friends laughed at me with their abit boards, and I see no abit board nominated yet...

but it could be that those little kiddies use win98

I recently installed a pair of Epox 8kta3's... one with a 1.1tbird @ 1.4 and another with a Duron oc'd to 900. Both installs were 100% painless, and have been rock solid stable from first boot. Nothing funky with cooling, just quality stuff & arctic silver.

Speaking on personal experience. I'm running a KT7A-Raid. This is my first Abit board. I've owned 4 Asus boards before this. Asus was my favourite brand until now. The only thing I don't like compared to the Asus boards is that Asus had a BIOS utility that would flash it in windows, which is very convienient.

On the other hand, I love SoftMenu III. I've finally seen why so many people love this feature.

i'm not a professional computer builder so i cannot say what is more/less stable than another...but i have had a wonderful experience with both my epox 8kta+ and my epox 8k7a, so i would definately put epox (or at least those 2 models) towards the top of the list

For me, it's Gigabyte 7ZX. I wouldn't call it the "most stable" but it's the more stable and reliable board from the 2 KT133 boards I own.

My other board is MSI K7T Pro2-A, but it looks like I got a unit from the low QC week batch. It gave me quite a few headaches in 2 occasions already, while the Gigabyte worked flawlessly for me. The Gigabyte was running my (development/test) server for almost 24/7 also. Love that board.

No overclocking features, though. :) Not that I care.

Among KT133a boards

The fact that so many boards are so good may actually be a good thing since you will have more flexibility in choosing a board that fits your needs, rather than wasting time finding a board that works as you expect it too. At the same time, if your favorite board is not available to you, it should be easy to find a suitable alternative. From our perspective as hardware enthusiasts, we recommend choosing between our two winners, the ASUS A7V133 and the Iwill KK266, if possible.

If you go for a DDR board- i like the DFI AK76-SN,

Get the feeling people are just voting for there own gear?

Well I'll stick to that but they're all wrong (Asus, you've got to be kidding?!) go for the new Gigabyte GA-7DXR.

Looks the best too ;)

btw I had an A7V (well 4 actually) and they all sucked.

And you aren't? Hah! Want looks? Try the red MSI K7T Turbo Limited.
