Vostro 1000 replacement lcd. Matte or Glossy?

I need to replace and lcd on a Vostro 1000. I am pretty sure it has the matte lcd currently.
Do you think there would be any incompatibility if I replaced it with a glossy? It seems the model came with either one originally.

matte is always better. less screen glare, does not scratch as easily, catches less dust..
