Vortex sound card forgets its settings

My Vortex SQ2500 sound card keeps forgeting its settings upon each reboot....
Every time I have to specify that it use 4-speaker output instead of the default 2-speaker output....:|
I'm using Win2k and the latest version of the drivers....but since these are beta drivers perhaps the programmers didn't get around to storing the settings....
Are any other Vortex users running Win2k having this problem???
Any way I could somehow load my settings automatically at each reboot???

i have had to scrap my vortex cards due to a3d issues with newer programs and games and they simply will not work with some motherboards like my kt7 raid
