I am building a computer out of scrap parts for use in the garage. I have an old Soyo SY-6VBA133 motherboard, P3 500 slot 1 CPU, and a 3dFX Voodoo 3 video card. I downloaded drivers from Voodoo files.com. I have used the latest drivers for the motherboard and I am running Windows ME. The problem is that I can not set the resolution any higher then 640X480. Any suggestions beside the trash can?

is the monitor a scrap part too? some old monitors can't go any higher than that. the problem wouldn't be with the card, it's either the monitor itself or its a softwear problem.

o and you might want to edit your title it's a little redundant:D

Yeah, the monitor has run other computers fine at 800X600. All I will really use this POS for is an MP3 machine in the garage so my wife can work out to all the music she has on her main machine. All of the puters are on a home network kinda thing. :)
