i haven't tried going past 138MHz FSB, but I've had 2 V5's that could do that

do you have a mobo that has I/O voltage adjustments?

if so, you might be in luck, as upping I/O voltage has helped with overclocked AGP stability of a 5500 on Bx boards.

i had big trouble with mine... constant lockups at 100Mhz AGP speed... it really sucks too!! now i cant run my system at its potential... that is at 150Mhz FSB... it seemed to be ok at 140Mhz FSB but i didnt mess around too much.. i did a "format c:" and reinstalled winblows and am running rock stable at 133FSB... i suppose i might give a try back at 140FSM but i STILL WONT BE ABLE TO RUN AT 1GIGHz!! my ddr geforce didnt mind the 150FSB one bit!! but i like the voodoo better the way it looks....

What is the cooling in your case like? Extra cooling aids the OC effort, especially by replacing those stock fan/sinks that come on the V5 card.

interesting... my case is open and my cpu is very cool.... you think that the voodoo might overheat just from agp bus frequency being overclocked rather than the memory/processor overclock??

what mobo you have?

what are your I/O settings?

have you disabled the win98 splash screen?

do you have a hard drive on the same power lead as the 5500?

yes vid card shared power with RAID drives

win98 splash screen default settings

I/O = standard 2com 1 parallel 2 usb - all open

i know i do have the I/O voltage boost jumper... i see you mention it up at the top of this thread... maybe i will give er a try... i though that would not help cause it only effects pci and system memory... not AGP bus.. as far as i know anyhow... its worth a try i suppose..
