I think for the 2000 that would work just fine until you get to about 164-69. Assuming you get that high without any problems then you might want to slow it down and go in smaller increments. Granted I'm saying while all I did was grab the slider and yanked it to up 180. But it worked so no complaints here.
You should get to about 166/166. This is what I got with my Voodoo3 2000. However, the heatsink ram SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER hot because it didn't have a fan on it.
if your going to overclock a v3 2000, besure add a fan to your system, just put a slot fan under it or mount a case fan to blow air on it, cheap and easy. most 2000's will run at 166 http://www.comready.com/casescpufan.html
