I`ve had both and the G400Max is a little faster (not much) but has better 2D and 3D IMPO... Also I noticed in 3dMark2000 that the G400 ran everything!!! But the V3 3K wont do some things (cant remember just which ones). I had hell with the V3 at first but finaly worked the bugs out. The G400Max was flawless from day one... But there is a big price difference something to remember...

G400. as good/better performance (except in glide). better image quality.

not a big price diff. no diff if you get at the right places.

G400 it is.

I'd have to agree that overall, the G400 will serve you better. It's a reasonable gaming card, although nowhere near the standard of say a Geforce or Voodoo, but the image quality (both 2d and 3d) is excellent. If you're not a hardcore gamer, the G400 is an excellent card.

G400 is a great card have had n problems with any that I have installed.

yeah... i decided to get the g400 b/c it was only $40!!!! and my friend needed the money, i already have the v3 3k but i didn't know which one to put in....
