I'm trying to squeeze all the juice I can out of my old Voodoo3. Whats the best utility to use when overclocking the 3500tv?
I'm running Win2k.

Thanks

I don't think there's any juice left to squeeze from a 3500. It was pretty much maxxed out at stock speed as I remember it.
On the other hand, MUCH faster cards like the GF2 GTS-V and the Kyro2 can be had for $50, so if you could sell the 3500 for $30 you could get a big upgrade for about nothing.

Unlike the 2000 and 3000 models, the 3500TV didnt generally have large overclocking headroom. Still, you should be able to hit 190/190-193/193 without much trouble, and some of them could hit 200.

If your lucky and you happen to have one of the later V3's produced then it's conveivable that you may get beyond that, I once had a V3 3000 that would do 218/218 smooth with a bit of additional cooling.

I would not try to OC that 3500 much. They really do not OC well, and they can make things vey unstable.

I bought mine off of a guy that used to OC it. It had a fan attached to the heatsink and the heatsink had (I assume) artic silver. I ran it a stock speeds and it would freeze up my machine within 3 hours of idle. I ended up having to yank the fan and pull the heatsink to clean and reseat just to make the thing run stable again. Even at stock clock these things get hot enough to have a grilled cheese sandwich cooked on top.
