voodoo3 2000 can it be o'ced or tweaked?

Just like the topic says. I know it is a pos card, but I am poor after buying my new system. Can I squeeze any extra life out of it?

hey I have a v3 2000 PCI too. anyway, just saw the specs on your computer, can you oc your 1.2 athlon higher than 1314mhz? I have a 1.2 too, and I can only oc it to 1.34mhz. Maybe the voodoo3
PCI is holding us back?

It is not a POS card. It still is excellent in Glide games at 800x600x16 with some pretty nice frame rates with a fast CPU and a bit of overclocking. Just superglue a 486 fan to it and download a tweaker and you'll be fine for a little while. I got my Voodoo 3 2000 AGP to 180 MHz rock stable. You should expect to get at least 166.

PowerStrip works great for overclocking. I don't know about tweaking though...

The Voodoo3 2000 could usually overclock quite nicely, almost all of them could do 166MHz easily, you might get as high as 175MHz or even higher if you get lucky.

my v3-2000 PCI is running at 201 completely stable with only the small stock heatsink. if you have one with infineon ram, it should overclock great. the v3 is still a decent card, but man, i wish i had FSAA, as i play a lot of space flight sims as well as FPS.
if you have any money to spare, i would go get a Radeon LE and flash it to the DDR model. it will offer a lot of neat features you don't currently have, and it will compiment your processor A LOT better. geforce2mx's can also be had for dirt cheap.

I can get my 1.2 gig a little hight(1344) but the temps get scary because I have to raise the power. I also noticed that it is running hotter in 98 than in win2k? Strange?
I am raising the fsb. I have power strip, but I really have to learn how to use it.
