that's a complete system from voodoo computers. it is a laptop that uses an ATI mobility 9000. where the thread starter got the notion that ATI released a card name voodoo is beyond me.

There's a "performance" PC company along the lines of Alienware and Falcon NW called "Voodoo Systems" or something of that sort. Pretty slick looking logo and cases I must say. I guess people still realize the value in the name "Voodoo".

When the desktop 3GHz P4 chip costs around $700, then there is no surprise that a mobile system with a 3GHz P4 and maxed out everywhere else costs $3000...

wha??? you said in your thread title "ATI releases Vodoo"

maybe i'm going out on a limb here and totally mis-interpreted your titling but to me that is saying ATI has released a card, chipset, etc.. with the name Voodoo, which it has not. judging from the other replies, i gather most other people thought that is what you meant as well.

Voodoo is only patented for videocards which means you can't call your videocard a Voodoo. If you really wanted to get technical some voodoo witch doctor from Haiti could sue nVidia for using his religion's (voodoo) name.
