Voodoo 5 problems while running games

I have a friend who is running a 1.1 PIII and has a Voodoo 5 PCI. OS is WinME. While running games, the card performs for a little while and then freezes. I speculate that it's the card. Has any of you encountered the same problem?
 
What are your friend's system specs?
Is he overclocking anything?
Does he have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for his motherboard?
