Hey, im having a problem with my voodoo 5. Ever since i installed the Voodoo 5500 PCI on my computer, the sound has been experiencing lots of problems when it uses the video card's power, or processing power. I switched sound cards, and the problem still exists. So, i traded my friend temporarily, and took his voodoo 3 AGP. I stuck it in, and tested the sound, NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! im asuming its the PCI compared to AGP slot. In BIOS, i set it to PCI VGA, but it still doesnt work... I tried my voodoo 5 on my old Intel computer, and it worked perfectly...I am running a:

1.4 GHz Athlon TB
ECS K7S5A

I dont know how to fix it...By the way, the sound distortion happens when i switch applications, run 3d games, or watch 3d visualizations etc...

THanks..

Move your Sound card to a different PCI slot. It is sharing IRQs with your vid card.

But you see, the problem is, that i checked the IRQs and they arent conflicting. The strange thing is, i know its not IRQ because while keeping the vid card in the same PCI slot, i changed my soundcards, (before i was using a seperate one) then, i removed it and used the built in sound card....it has to be some resource conflict...but i dont know if its IRQ, because the only other IRQ sharing with my vid card's IRQ was my USB port...which i connected my mouse to...
