Voodoo 5 6000 Cancelled
The Voodoo 5 6000 has been cancelled. A new press release from 3dfx indicates the technologies have instead been licensed to Quantum3D. The SLI technologies slated for the canned PC graphics accelerator will be used for a line of PC-based machines slated to run visual simulation and training applications. 3dfx also announced in the same statement that these technologies would not be sold in the retail channel. The Voodoo 5 5500 AGP graphics board, which is powered at the hand of the VSA-100 chipset and was the first to feature full-screen anti-aliasing, therefore remains the sole Voodoo 5 product.
