@ a computer swap meet in San Diego. They're manufactured under the brand PowerColor. I remember someone reported a while back that he saw something like this at a website.

Yea they also have voodoo3's. The voodoo3's are clocked factory at 183.Thats what the 3500 was clocked at.So their already faster than most voodoo3's.

I bought one some time ago from a Member. Clocks to 195 without any cooling above stock setup! I'm using V3 3000 Generic Drivers.

Uh...driver updates....3DFX cards work, for the most part, without them. We're not talking about....the other card here!

BTW, if no one cares about them, why do you see precious few for sale?:D

"BTW, if no one cares about them, why do you see precious few for sale?"

-Most of them have been pulled off the shelves and stored away. It has nothing to do with how they are selling. Problems may arise when new OS's come out making a new video card a requisite for a new OS. Unless this 3rd party manufacturer plans on updating the drivers... which I doubt.

Yea well Nvidia is suppose to keep up on the drivers for around another year. They do or did sell well also couse i was talking to a Bestbuy worker i know and he said that they were the best selling cards they had. They sold more voodoo3's than anything and more 5500's then gts's when they were instock.Besides the drivers from 3dfx have always worked great.Even by chance there are not any more updates those cards should be fine for another year or more and by then peaple will be wanting another card anyway.

nVidia is not going to keep up driver support for a year. They have publicly stated that this is the responsibility of 3dfx, who won't be offering any new drivers. LOL- 145 fps at Q3a on a V5....you must have another one of those MAGIC V5s that gets scores no one else can replicate.

(unless maybe lowest possible res/color/detail/vertex lighting, etc. on a 1GHz or faster cpu)

Like i said the current drivers will be fine for a long time.We may see drivers from another card maker anyhow.Ive got a friend that still uses a voodoo2 card and uses the drivers on the disk he got with it if that tell you anything. He hasnt had any problems.I see alot of games that in the readme has all the compatible video cards and the old voodoo graphics is are in most as be compatible although i wouldnt want to play a new game at 640x480 dog slow but it just shows that 3dfx drivers work well.

hey jethro bodine...the video card isnt all about frame rate...my FPS doubled when i got a better processor, and i have one of the lucky pro2-a's that hits a 114MHz bus. im running a 1gig duron at 1.65 (1.69 really), and it works perfect. so i get at least 140+ FPS in q3a, and eat it if you dont believe me.
