Voodoo 3 won't work for 3DMark 2k1 ??? Still no go...

sorry if this is a repost of some sort but i couldn't find any help for this in any of the #dmark threads...

i notice the madonion site says you need a 32 MB vid card to run 2k but there are people posting scores for lesser card ie voodoo 3's in the "post your score" threads...

i have a voodoo 3 3500 and when i tried to run the bench, i got a "d3derror" saying "not enough video memory"... my question is how do i get the bench to run with this card??? T.I.A.

put desktop to 16 bit, and under 3dmark options make sure texture compression is off

DLing DX8.0a now ... maybe it will help... i think im using DX8.0 first edition right now... still dunno where that texture compression thing is either... = P

Is your problem installing or runningd 3dmark? If its installing you need to go to 1024 16bit. Once running, under rendering option, texture format-16bit.

hm.. so i should install at 1024 resolution,... okay, i was trying to run it at 16-bit everything... but i did install at 1152... me try the install at 1024 thing now = ) can i up my resolution back after i install? yes right?

I think the max 3dmark supports is 1024x768. It should change itself automatically when you run the program and the desktop will return to normal after its done.

okay... installed @ 1024 16 bit resolution with no results = P ... i'm just gonna give up, it's kewl... i can run 2k1 on my lan rig,... thanks for the help anyway Tonec...

are you running any funky vid programs that might be hogging your video memory? mine ran okay, got a crapass score though compared to all these gf and radeon owners.


i know you're running beta drivers...so try installing normal ones...
