Voodoo 3 and 5 - incompatible with P4 (current Intel chipset)?

I just caught this article on The Register
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/3/15118.html

It has a link to 3DFX's site
http://www.3dfx.com/prod/sup/faq-pen4.html

I did not see this topic discussed on Video yet, and since I just purchased a Voodoo5-5500 AGP, this does interest me.

The discussion seems to list the current Intel P4 chipset as only supporting 1.5V signalling AGP ports so that the 3.3V signalling V3/5 cards do not fit due to slot cut-outs. I am assuming that future P4 chip releases will have universal AGP support, so the V3/5 cards will fit then, but I was wondering whether anyone has confirmed this report?

Thanks

Anyone know if the later i850, the one made for .13 micron P4s, will be compatible with the V3/V5?

Its because the Voodoo5 is not made with AGP Pro in mind, it is just made with AGP normal thingy in mind. While the rest of the "modern" cards work with both AGP and AGP Pro.
