Hey I have a question about these cards... Can they run standalone or do they need a 2d card to "pass through" them? I know it's an old card, but I have one here and want to setup a linux box, and was wondering if they would work alone?
 
Voodoo card is a 3D card only, you will need a 2D card. There is a pass through cable that goes from the 2D card to Voodoo then your monitor plugs in the other port on voodoo.
