Voodoo card

Overclock Instructions

Review:

<< The voodoo II is an excellent substitute for a computer with on board video espesially if you want to make use of it. My board came with an 8 meg agp video already on board so I decided to put my old voodoo II back in the blocks, guess what it worked great actually better in someways than the voodoo III 2000 I had in my last board.
Gameplay: Game play is great in 600 by 800 and awesome in 640 by 480 who needs 1028 by 768 not really noticable anyway and i dont care what your running for a system if its less than a 600 pIII your gonna take a hit on the real high end games like startrek armada actually that game is the biggest test I know for a card and a system try it.

Graphics: Graphics are great with the voodoo II no slow down that ive noticed of course I am running a celeron 533 and it is very fast.

Sound: sound is good, with this card it takes little away.

LOL.

"Sound: sound is good, with this card it takes little away."

From now on we base our reviews of video cards off of the sound quality we get. Nice post, but might wanna change your topic to say Voodoo2.

Electronic Boutique lowered the price on this card to
$29.95 everyday low price. Nice card though if you are
stuck in less than 400mhz CPU land.

Better deal is the V3 2000, which is more than 2x as
fast as the V2, has built in 2d, and only cost $39.95
(or less) after rebate.

I had a 12mb Voodoo2 x2(SLI) setup...replaced all three vid cards (2-v2's and a G200 for 2d) with a TNT2-Ultra....FPS wasn't much different, but one vid card instead of 3 was nice.

Get a Voodoo3-2000....your system will run cooler and probably more stable.

whoa whoa, I am sure that 3dfx discontinued the v2's so if EB has them, they are on clearence! They would never sell it for that cheap, they would rather not sell it at all...

3dfx v3 rebates expired :(!!!

The pass-through gives you really bad 2d. Especially, if you run a large monitor at higher resolution, your text becomes almost unreadable.

I had one long time ago and I hated it.

You will be happier with V3 2000. If you have integrated motherboard such as Intel 810, get a PCI version of V3 2000. Stay away from V2.
