OK, I got my Voodoo² SLI setup today. Installed fine, using the 3dfx reference V2 1000 drivers. SLI is detected fine, yada yada yada...

So I run it through 3DMark2K...Seems to go really slow. At the end, it reports the fill rate as 186 mtexels/second. Exactly half what I would have suspected. As in only one Voodoo² working. What's up with that? The "Disable SLI" check box isn't checked, & both cards seem to get warm...What's going on?

On the plus side...I installed NFS2SE just for the heck of it...That game simply flies on a 952 MHz CII @ Voodoo² SLI...hehe...

You sure? One Voodoo² would produce a 90 mpixel fill rate. This is SLI...

I thought that stock V2's would be 90 MHz * 2 single-textured pixels per clock * SLI = 360 mpixel fill rate.

Am I figuring wrong?

Actually now that you mention it I could be wrong. I checked and found that my Banshee is a 90MTexel card. And since straight Voodoo²s have that second TMU, they're probably double that in the Texel fill rate... Hmmm...

Hmm.. That is odd.. I do remember and know the TNT is 180M/Texels, and it ran nose to nose with a V2 SLI setup.. (TNT = 90MHz * 2 Texels)

ohh.. V2's do two textures per clock, not two pixels per clock so you get 180M/Texels, and 360M/Pixels... Right? Hmm.. something like that.. Its been a while.

If you want to know if they are working together, put the resolution at 1024x768.

You can't reach 1024x768 without the second card, even with hacked eyeScream drivers.

And yes, it's 90 million pixels/sec, 180 million texels/sec per card. Double those numbers for two cards. A V2 SLI rig is faster than all but the fastest V3 (the 3500).
