Vongo.com, Movie download/stream to PC, $10/month

I'm looking at the sample movie ... it's about 2x3 inches! the site says "See how good Vongo movies look". Is this the size the movies are locked to? if so, no go!

edit: the sound is pretty good though

I went ahead and signed up for the free trial. This service won't last the remainder of the day on my hard drive. The movie selection is somewhere between mediocre, and poor. Lots of crap B movies, and many halfway decent movies are locked to $3.99 PPV's, including some that have been out on DVD for a good while (example, "Mr 3000" is a $3.99 PPV)

The video player is SMALL. it's about 5 inches across, and 2 inches high, and cannot be resized.

a big thumbs down from me

edit: another warning: when you go to cancel, they FORCE you to call their 800 number to do so, a la AOL. I guess I have a very unpleasant hard sell to look forward to. ugh.

Sorry about your trouble. I was reading help, it says a "full screen" button. Doesn't it have it?

Edit: "Use the FULL SCREEN button to have your Vongo entertainment fill your whole personal computer screen. "

Ok, I missed that. Still, the movie selection wasn't too good. Most of it is stuff you've seen, or low-rent B movies. A few good titles mixed in, but many that are already on Starz/HBO, etc, that Vongo is classifying as PPV.

The cancellation wasn't too bad, though I resent having to call to do it. She wanted to know why, but other than that she didn't put up a fight or anything.

the real question is if she offered you anything to stay?

I signed up for this a few weeks ago before going on a Memorial Day trip. I thought I'd be able to use my new Zen Vision:M with it but its not compatible. Big disappointment. Vongo has some promise, but its not worth it yet.
