So I was in a local mall and saw a Vonage kiosk and found a killer deal:

* Full phone system (3 phones) and v-portal free
* Free Activation

After I go home, I sliced my bill in half to $12.50 a month just by simply calling and asking (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=vonage+$12.50).

My question is, what kind of quality are these DECT 6.0 phones? Are they 5.8ghz or 2.6ghz?

Is there a way I can adjust the quality of the incoming/outgoing phone calls? I have FIOS's 25/15 internet package so I am not worried about topping it out at all.

Do you guys recommend any other equipment or control features I don't already know about?

So it would be best for me to get another set of wireless phones for my home....and trash these phones/send them back?

I dont see any problem with DECT 6.0 phones. They are generally less susceptible to interference, and I never really got any complaints from customers that bought them..

I used to work for Vonage back before the IPO days when it wasn't as well known. The product is good, the people are awesome, and overall I think they run a pretty good shop as far as their product goes.

the quality of those phones doesnt really have much to do with the quality of Vonage's service. I had it for 4 years and loved it.

I have both Fios 25/15 & Vonage, and I haven't had to do any sort of adjustment for good call quality. You can mess with the router's QoS settings though if you want to experiment.
