Ok here's the setup I'm trying to achieve. AND, I know it would be easier if I could just buy some different hardware but that's not an option at this point.

The cable modem's ethernet port connects to Vonage's Linksys 4-port router/switch. This provides the VOIP. NOW, I would like to also have wireless available, I have a Netgear 4-port router/switch wireless access point. Is it possible to connect the Netgear router/switch/AP to one of the ports on the Vonage Linksys?

I see two ways, connect one of the Linksys ports to the WAN port on the Netgear (Bad option IMO)

Other option, disable DHCP and all other functions on the Netgear except Wireless, and then connect one of the ports on the Netgear to one of the ports on the Linksys via a cross-over cable. WILL this work?

Thanks, I hope I made sense.

they probably auto-mdx, so no need for crossover unless you have it.

This would put your "wireless router" into "wireless AP" mode. ONe more thing, assign it an ip in the same subnet your router assigns, but out of the DHCP scope, so you can manage it.

Ahhh, yes, I forgot to mention that. Re-assign a static IP address to the Netgear router/switch/AP so I could manage it, and so it would not collide with any IP given out by the Linksys router/switch/vonage box.

Wow, so no cross-over needed. Sweet....
