Vonage in a network environment

Looking to get Vonage for our office. I assume it's just a matter of hooking the phone adapter they send into one of our current switches and then enable port forwarding at the firewall?

It's just for one phone.

Still, you need to make sure that it will have priority over anywthing else. A few broadcasts or some file sharing might kill the quality of the signal.

I know that one of netgears routers (very cheap) supports part of the 802.11e VoIP traffic priortization, but that probably isn;t an option.

EDIT:

Then again, how busy is your network on a regular basis and what kind of line do you have?

Also, what kind of rotuer/equipment do you use?

I could just tell you to "f$*& it" and plug it in, that is, if you won't hold me responsible😉 For all i know, your network could be pegged at 90% utilization🙂
