Vonage Hardware

I saw only a linksys in best buy or fry's that can be used for Vonage.... Is this the only hardware that works for vonage, voip?

Also do I have to buy a vonage phone, or can I just hook up a normal phone to it?>

I got the new linksys router/adapter for vonage and its a POS. I would just get the $50 vonage adapter. You can use your old phone, I hoped up a vonage adapter @ my parent's home, and they have 4 phones (1 line) on it.

all i've seen is linksys

and yes you just plug your old phone into a regular phone jack on the adaptor/router

the linkysys isn't that great but we use it as a switch and still route voiP calls that way

it's not..it actualyl does QoS, but compared to some people linux firewalls the linksys is a toy😛

I have an extra Vonage motorola MTA just sitting here. I switched from vonage so it's not being used anymore.

ok the adapter they include for free is also the linksys


well I say for free.. not sure how they work it, but they are charing me $40 for activation and shipping 😛
