Volunteering to work with the Red Cross

I have a few questions for everyone here, and any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I've never been someone who is fanatical about charities, I think the work they do is fantastic, but I've never felt any sort of admiration for any charity out there. There's so many that unfortunately I sometimes just don't appreciate the work they do. The Red Cross is an exception for me, I am amazed by the work they do. They're always the first ones there to offer humanitarian aid, and I've witnessed that on numerous occassions over the last few years.

I'm going to be helping out in a lot of things. From helping with computer related stuff to assisting with fundraisers. I've been asked if I can e-mail some of the skills which may be helpful. Generally we on the AT forums have a "general" skill set which we all possess, ie computer troubleshooting (some of us more than others 😉 ), web design (to a certian degree), and other skills. Currently I have written the following:

My skills computer wise include:

Graphic design
Web Design (This includes Macromedia Flash movies)
Video editing
Web Advertising
Designing flyers/brochures, or other documents which can be used as a publicity tool.
Microsoft Powerpoint presentation creation (my experience in this field hasn't been exercised in a while. I typically prefer to use Flash in any sort of presentation, as it is more versatile than powerpoint)

Apart from Software, I also possess extensive knowledge in:

Networking (Wireless network solutions, and servers)
Database creation
Computer building/repair (both software and hardware problems)

Is there any chance there is anything that anyone can think of that most of us on AT possess that would be useful? I've racked my brain, but I'm almost positive there's other stuff.

Also, my second question is:

Does anyone have any ideas which they think would be useful to attract attention to the Red Cross? any fresh ideas that could generate some attention? The Red Cross has local fundraisers pretty regularly, and I'm trying to attract as much attention as I can for these sorts of events. Any ideas are appreciated, either web based or not.
