Volume in XP Pro on startup

ok, i have a weird problem

for some reason, whenever my PC shuts down, it turns the system volume down to 50%. Then when I turn it on again, the volume is only at 50%, which means I have to adjust it EVERY time

is there any way to fix this so that it will shut down/boot at full volume?

try going to the control panel and changing it from the audio device setting instead of the start bar. which way were u changing it??
