voltage selectio

I own a pII 233 which I have managed to get upto 336 on a 112 FSB but I would like to go for 350 which is unstable at the default 2.8 volts so I would like to change the voltage upto 2.9 unfortunately my mobo has no settings for voltage but from reading intel tech papers I have found that the voltage can be selected from the chip via the vid pins (pins a119, a120, a121, b119 and b120)
to change from 2.8 to 2.9 volts the tech papers say I have to connect pin b120 to Vss which is listed as a ground pin, would insulating b120 do or would I have to connect it to a Vss pin ? ( the nearest being a118 I think)
