A nice UPS would help.

make sure it has AVR, automatic voltage regulation. My 1000VA APC unit does, but there are some more advanced AVR technologies out there.

I'm not sure how that $20 device can regulate the voltage without some sort of capacatence or battery intervention. A UPS would be more ideal imo; get at least a 500VA UPS, prefereably 1000VA like me😛
