are you suppose to put the ram as the companies recommended voltage?

2.6v is what it is listed as.. so should i change it to that?

You can have it lower if you want to and your DIMMs can, but you'll have to test them to check if they can operate at the same frequency/timings with less voltage.

The best sit, is to check them out, and if you're interested more in the 'longevity' of your components, to run them where you want with the lower voltage possible.
On the other side running them at total stock ( freq, timings, voltage ) is fine as well.

im currently running my ram @ 3-4-4-12 @ 250 although on cpu-z it comes out as 277 but im messing with the voltage

it recommended voltage is 2.6, what would be a safe voltage i can lower it to?

yes.. the 2 x 1 Patriot ram

im trying to see how much further i can push my opty and dont want the ram holding me back * i know is not an expensive ram*
