My computer let me know (through the ASUS mobo speech thing) that it was having some problems.
I opened up the ASUS PC Probe and saw that my 3.3v is up to 3.776, or about 14% off.
Now my 3.3v rail has always ran high... like at 3.6v and been ok. all the sudden tho it stays at 3.776 or 3.792.

The computer is still working, and is stable as far as i can tell. I don't really know how this effects it anyway.

Would those more knowledgeable in this field please let me know if this is something i should worry about?
Is there anyway to drop the rail down to be more in spec?

system:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe v2.0
Athlon XP 2500+
2 x 512MB Corsair XMS PC3200 dualchannel
GeForce 4 Ti 4400
2 HDs, 3 CD/DVD drives, 3 case fans (80mm)
Fortron 530W PSU

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Yes, I think it is worth noting and maybe even worrying about. Sensitive DC electronic devices that are spec'd and designed to operate at a certain voltage can be damaged or screwed up by out of spec power. I would only run this system on a UPS and then measure the rails. Maybe eliminate all extra devices then boot and analyze the power until you find a device or situation where its uneven again.

well i can certainly say it is a problem.
i turned the computer off to do some trial & error testing to find that it doesn't want to turn on again, at all.

when the power is switched on for the PSU the motherboards green light comes on as well as the lights on the Ethernet plug. When i press the power button the LEDs in a case fan (as well as the one cd drive left plugged in) flash for a split second but thats it. i get no other indicaiton of anything. the fans don't even start to spin.

:(

now i really do need help.
