Do you have to close the L7 bridges on a T-Bird to allow you to change voltages or is that always available with the MSI Pro 2A?

Wouldn't closing the L7 bridges default the cpu's voltage at 1.85? I could've sworn that it did. Oh well, I could be wrong. :)

If it defaults to 1.85 is that the voltage it will get until the bios kicks in and sets the voltage at whatever I have set it at? I guess what I am really asking is: Do I need to connect the L7 bridges to get the best performance out of my t-bird with a MSI Pro 2A?

No, if you connect the L7 bridges the voltage default is 1.85 unless you change it in the BIOS. If I were you I wouldn't connect them, although it doesn't matter. It's up to you.

I thought the latest "overclockers" BIOS fixed the voltage limitation on the Duron processors. Before defacing the chip, maybe you should try it first...

L7 bridge closing is only required for Durons on this mobo. Since TBIRDS have a higher default voltage, the PRO2A allows for 1.85. If I remember, Durons get limited to 1.7v max without the L7s connected. You can easily reduce the voltage in BIOS if your chip runs well at less voltage.
