Voltage Issues on Neo2 Platinum

Okay let me start by saying, I know the overclock I have already is good but I have a feeling I can achieve higher, but I am having voltages issue with the board.

Okay right now I have an AMD 64 3000+ Winchester. I have been able to hit 2.6Ghz so far stable. Now I hope I get this right the first time, I will try not to leave out any details of all my settings.

My setup looks like this. Memory is running at 2.5-4-4-10 (5:4). HTT = 3x, FSB = 306Mhz x 8.5 multi. Voltage is at stock (1.4) x 10.0% and its reading between 1.55-1.58v in CPU-Z. AGP is at 67Mhz, HD is on SATA 3. Memory is at 2.85v. I am using Corsair TWINX PC-3200 1GB (512x2) (2-2-2-5) memory. My Bios is 1.41 modded bios.

Okay I think thats everything, I hope I didnt miss nothing.

Anyway, my problem now is, whenever I try to achieve a voltage higher than 1.55, the computer will not boot. I have tried in different variations. I have tried 1.4 x 13%, and 1.55 x 3%. To try to get about 1.6v to maybe reach 2.7Ghz on my CPU, but whenever I up the voltage, the comp wont even boot up, and I have to power down the system and reset the BIOS on the motherboards jumper. My question basically is there something I am doing wrong, because I know I should be able to get my voltage higher than this. I am not being greedy, I know I already have a good overclock, but I am curious to see if I can get it higher, and I dont understand why it's not working out. I've seen people up there voltages to 1.7, with high overclocks like 2.7, 2.8Ghz, etc. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You need to use the 1.36b bios for the Neo2 to get those voltages...
The 1.36b is the only bios that will allow you to get the higher voltages. (past 110%)

Also, when you pick the base voltage, you can't go higher than 1.45v. 1.475 and higher does nothing... So choose 1.45v, then pick the % to get the voltage you want...

*EDIT* Also, don't use .5 multis, just stick with 9x...
What is your steppings on the 3000+ winnie??

so with the 1.36b BIOS I should be able to hit the voltages I need to acquire the 2.7Ghz overclock? Im about to go try this now, thanks alot man. You just saved me alot of headaches. 🙂
