the past week the ASUS pc monitor started displaying warnings about the various voltages.

I swapped out a new power supply but still get the warnings. The version is 2.11

Does this mean i have some motherboard power problems??

thanks

mike

With version 2.11 or earlier, the voltage spike problem occurs when the smart fan control is on. It goes away when the fan control is disabled.

You can download version 2.12 PC Probe from the Asus site. It does not seem to have this problem.

Wow, thanks for the quick response.

I forgot i had tried out the fan control...it's off now

Does the fan control work on generic fans??

It should as long as the fan is pluged into the CPU fan header on the MB. You could tell by the rpm if the fan have the 3-pins connector with monitoring.
