Voltage Drops P3b-F W/PIII-900 CPU at 100%

System: Asus P3b-F, s370-dl,PIII-900E/Taisol Cooler, 256mb/Pc133/cL2, Yamaha16x10x40, Toshiba32x,SbliveValue, Maxtor30gb, PromiseUltra66, RadeonLE, POWMAX400W/dual fan, 2 case fans. Default Clocking.Voltage set to 1.70 on slocket and in bios. Memory set to spd, being 7-1-1-1.

I have nerver noticed this before on any other systems, the key word here is "noticed"...

Useing MBM4.18, MBM5, or MBProbe they all read the same under 100% cpu load, the volts drop on the cpu from 1.73(which asus sets it at) to 1.66-1.68, and the volts on the -12 goes up. It does this useing Hot Cpu tester, or just surfing or loading Excel2000, makes no difference to the load program. Is this normal? As soon as you stop the load the volts go back to the norm. It seems to me that the voltage to the processor should stay the same. It did this also with a celeron600/900, on the same system, and useing a Antec250w, Deer300w, so its not the power supplys. I alos have a Soyo Bx-IV with C533/800 and simular config, and it does not drop in volts under load. Any thoughts?.......Asus voltage regular?

A lot of ASUS motherboards do tend to show quite a fair bit of voltage fluctuation. As long as you are not actually experiencing any material problems, it should be fine.

You may want to check your power supply though.

The more water you use from a plumbing system, the lower the pressure goes. Either that, or iffy voltage sensors (doubt that, it's not like temperature).
