I am picking up one of those from a friend really cheap, my nv silencer 5 is comign in the mail. I read nice article abotu volt moddign and person havign successs with the same card and gaining a better 3dmark score, will I actually get better game performance by doing if yes is it really worth the risk? I mean if ir's less than $10 then why bother. Anybody have any input?

personally i didn't have much success with the 1.5v bios mod flash, it only increased my OC by 10mhz and increased my temp by 4c idle and 8c load. so i flashed back to 1.4v

i had more success by removing my Delta clock, i gained 30mhz OC with that alone.

as always YMMV, i've seen some have great success with the 1.5v mod on their 7800gt's....i was one of the unlucky ones.
