Volkswagen formally announces the 241hp AWD Golf R32

*sigh* Why do the Europeans get the best performing cars? (still wants an Audi S3) 🙁

Man that's sweet!!! I wish they would bring it over here...

I wouldnt call it small displacement... it has a 3.2L V6 engine in it...

Egad! That's huge for a car that size...

Where does it say it's a Euro-only car? Or do we just assume that since it's a nice car, only the Europeans get it? 🙂

I shudder to think of how much it will cost if/when they decide to bring it over. The VR6 GTI's are expensive enough, and any model stateside that has 4Motion carries a hefty premium over its 2WD counterpart.

The new VR6 GTI has a $34,305 MSRP (equipped as shown)in Canada. 4Motion on a Passat carries a $3,000 premium because it must be ordered with the 5 speed auto.

A $37,000+tax Golf? I'm a VW fanboy and owner, but I would never ever pay that in a bazillion years. 🙁
