I noticed that my unit was making a abnormal 'whine' lately ... and was buggin me...

So ,, I shut down ... and 'plucked' the fan 'Tt' grate with my fingernail... and the sound was very familiar ... 🙂

I took some snubnose wire cutters to the 'Tt" grate and snipped off the 6 supports for removal..

I fired up the box ... and ... wow ... no more 'whine' ...

I have spare fan grates laying around ... so ... next time I have the unit off I'll but a better one on...

Just thought I'd share my experiment.
