VoIP router is filling up my Wireless Router's log with DoS Protection messages

My Belkin Wireless G-Router has been picking up a crapload of:

Sun May 13 09:02:07 2007 1 Blocked by DoS protection 192.168.1.2

and other similar messages.

Is this of any danger? I'm also finding my Internet connection isn't as speedy as it should be lately.

If I put my VoIP router on the DMZ, will it be of any danger to anything else? I'm thinking that the VoIP router is somewhat self contained, shouldn't matter much if it was hacked for listened to. cuz it's just an unusable digital signal.

Unless it's using sRTP (which it probably isn't) or a VPN tunnel (also highly unlikely), it's out in the open and on a clear channel anyway. If it works behind your firewall fine, it will work in the DMZ fine, but risk to you for being hacked is probably quite minimal.

Suffice to say that your Belkin Wireless G router is hardly a qualified device to be making judgment calls on intrusion detection. The VoIP device won't be affecting the speed unless the Belkin has other issues -- one concurrent call just won't generate enough packets per second to make a difference.
