Voicestream - taking over payments type deal

is it possible to get someone to take over my contract so that i can go and leave and join another carrier?

More info please. It's certainly possible - if they are getting out of a market they can sell their subscription base, along with contracts, etc., to another firm. Happens all the time.

I highly doubt it but it's worth asking VoiceStream.

Dial 611 from your VoiceStream cell phone and ask them.

I doubt that you can do it "officially" (having ownership transferred through Voicestream), but if you are confident they will pay the bill, I don't see why not. The bills will keep coming to you, and you get the money from the other person to send in the payment.

Uh, no, its not illegal.

Its called Transfer of Financial Responsibility and even Voicestream says that you can do it. Trust me on this one.

This is probably the only way you could do it. Be careful though. If they don't pay the bill they could really mess up your credit rating. I wouldn't risk it

If you are moving out of the area to place without voicestream service, I believe you can nullify the contract, also.
