Not sure where else this applies but this seemed to be a hot deal to me.

I am very tempted to take this offer up but am wanting some experiences
with Voicestream regarding coverage, quality, and experiences.

3000 Anytime minutes with long distance included within the Southeast U.S.
to include where we call the most is nice. (KY)

It says it's available for a limited time.

I know Nextel has lowered their rates recently.
Is there a wireless price war going on?

This promotion has been going on for a few months now.

Ive been a voicestream customer for nearly 2-3 years now and ive been very happy. Ive gotten better reception (here in FL) and better service than the 6 other providers ive been through.

Are you in the Tampa area? I was wondering about the reception in Tampa-Brandon area.

anyone have any firsthand experience with Voicestream in the Miami / South Miami Beach / Doral area?

my Sprint phone is starting to suck. it def needs to be replaced. and the quality of service is poor lately too, though it may just be the phone is old?

I ordered this plan last week with the Ericsson T68 phone for $42 AR. It arrives tomorrow and I can't wait to try it out! That's a great deal if you are on the phone a lot. I was on Alltel's unlimited plan for $59.99 (it's now $69.99) and this is $10 cheaper.

I'll try to let you know how it works out.

Ft. Lauderdale, but i went to Bush Gardens and stayed in Brandon last year twice. If i remember correctly, i had service everywhere over there, even in the middle of the park. I was walking around the hospitality house talking to my dad for 20 mins. :D

THIS map is pretty accurate about the coverage. The only place in Florida ive totally lost service was when i was in Bonita Springs (Ft. Myers) area.

I had perfect service while on south beach, in overtown, at Hard Rock, and by the airport.

I cant vouch for anywhere else because i didnt go there, but the service is great up here in Broward.

Voicestream has great coverage when you're in a city, but once you hit the outskirts, it's touch and go. They have towers along most major highways as well, but like I said, if you do a lot of traveling in rural areas, you might have difficulties. Nevertheless, I have been with them for almost a year, and have been satisified.

My sister just switched her 600 weekday/UNLIMITED weekend $39.99 plan to this since she uses over 800 weekday minutes a month ... unfortunately our local 3,000 plan has NO long distance and NO roaming so keep that in mind.

It seems that this plan includes long distance to all the Southeastern U.S. states they have listed and include IL and MO even.
3000 anytime minutes including long distance I use 95% of the time (calls to KY) looks nice.

I assume these plans are regional and may not include long distance in some plans.
There is also a Florida only plan where you got 3000 anytime minutes but no long distance outside the state, but any intrastate calls within FL.
This plan surprisingly costs more--$59.99

Thanks ApexII for letting me know Brandon area is ok with reception.

I was wondering about the coverage in the Orlando area. I used to be with Voicestream.. I was with them when it was still Aerial Communications down here and then stayed with them another year after they switched to Voicestream. The coverage wasn't to great back then and I went over to Cingular.

I may jump back to Voicestream if their coverage got better.

I had fantastic coverage in all of downtown orlando, by universal/kirkman/i-drive area, and down at disney. Maybe its just my phone, i dunno.
