Voice Software Can ANYONE HELP???

I recently purchased a video game called Star Trek Bridge Commander, which has a TON of keyboard commands. It says it is compatible with Voice software, and I have been reading that some players use a package called Game Commander 2 by Mindmaker, Inc. Has anyone used this, and if so, is it worth the $30 they want for it?
